Obituary of Stanton Allan Greenblatt

Stanton Greenblatt of Vineland and Lake Worth Fla. passed away peacefully at his home in Vineland on Friday December 1, 2006. Stanton was born in Vineland and resided here his whole life. He attended the Vineland public schools and graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. While at the University he was a member of Tau Delta Phi Fraternity and was their steward. When he returned to Vineland he joined his brother and father at Wares Van & Storage Company, a part of United Van Lines. He worked in the sales position for many years even after becoming a partner. Stanton participated in and was president of the Vineland Exchange Club. He was active and chairman of the Landis Sewerage Authority. He participated in the Heart Drive and Walk. Stanton was President of Beth Israel Congregation and its Men's Club and held this office several times. He was active in the Cumberland County Jewish Federation and has chaired their Allied Jewish Appeal Campaign. Mr. Greenblatt was politically involved in several Vineland mayoralty campaigns. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Adele (Segal) Greenblatt, children Ken & Vickie Greenblatt of Voorhees NJ, Beth & Edward Goldberger, of Potomac Md. Melissa & Bruce Patz of Needham, Mass. Grandchildren Jonathan, Brian, & Michael Greenblatt, Lauren & Rachel Goldberger, and Emma, Abby, & Hannah Patz. He is also survived by his brother Maurice Greenblatt and his wife Joan of Longport, and Palm Beach Gardens Fla. his sister Shirlee and her husband Bernard Brown of Vineland, and sister Sandra Yablow of Palm Beach Gardens Fla. as well as many Nieces and nephews. Stanton was predeceased by his parents Emma & Benjamin Greenblatt and a son Barry Greenblatt. He will be missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday December 4, 2006 from 10 to 11 am at Beth Israel Synagogue 1015 Park Avenue Vineland. Services will follow at 11:00 am in the sanctuary at Beth Israel Interment will take place following in Alliance Cemetery, Norma.
