Obituary of James "Carl" Grace Sr.

James "Carl" Grace Sr., 81, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud Marine, serving during the Korean War and was a member of the Marine Corp League in Vineland. Carl worked for many years as a mechanic for National Freight before retiring. He enjoyed woodworking, making crafts for his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, was an avid sports fan and loved trains. James loved history; he would make special trips to Newfield to reminisce his childhood memories. He would drive his military jeep in local parades on many occasions proudly wearing his Marine uniform; he also would go to local schools to educate the students about his military experiences. Every year he would participate with the Marines for their Toys for Tots program. One of Carl's favorite memories was traveling to Alaska with his wife June for their 50th wedding anniversary.

He is survived by wife of 60 years June (Brunetta) Grace; four sons , James (Donalyn), Michael, Robert (Maggie) and Ronald (Joanne); daughter, Sharon Feinberg (Donald); 12 grandchildren, Michael (Michelle), Steven (Ting), Pamela, Danielle, MaryAnn, RJ, Bridget, Megan, Zachary, Jakob; Lily and Ivan; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Addison, Ethan, Alexa & Austin and his sisters Phyllis Minkwitz and Grace Gibson He was predeceased by his granddaughter Maria.

A funeral home visitation will be held on Monday from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Bridgeton.
