Obituary of Walter Cherniak

Walter J. Cherniak, 93 of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 14, 2017. Walter was born in New York City to Konstantine and Anna Cherniak on Nov 13, 1923. Walter attended Vineland High School, Class of 1941. He is a proud veteran of WWII and served as a staff sergeant and radio operator in the B-29th Wing based on Tinian Island in the Pacific. After returning from the war, he received an Industrial Engineering degree from Rutgers University. Walter served as an industrial engineer at Kimble Glass Company and went on to co-found Precision Electronic Glass with partners John Rossi and William Conway. Walter is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret DiPasquale; sister Irene Kuhar: sons Michael of Tampa Florida, Stephen of Alpharetta, Georgia, Chris of Park City, Utah, and Anne of Philadelphia, PA. He also has five grand children, Shara, Jesse, Rachel, Ben and Conner. A funeral home visitation will be held on Saturday, 2/18/17, from 9 to 11 followed by a service at 11am at Rone Funeral Home 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ. Internment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ. ? Donations in memory of Walter and son Gregory, may be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia,
