Obituary of Joseph "Sonny" P. Elbeuf

Joseph (Sonny) P. Elbeuf, 88, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday afternoon, December 23, 2016 after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Vineland, NJ. Joseph graduated from Vineland High School in 1946, as a three sport letterman in football, basketball, and baseball. He served in the National Guard for two years. Joseph owned and operated Elbeuf's Florist for 49 years. He also worked as a bus driver for the Vineland Public Schools for 25 years. Joseph was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his life-long friends. He enjoyed RV camping with his family, summer vacations in Sea Isle City and the Poconos. Joseph took pride in supporting his grandchildren in their many sporting events. He also loved his Notre Dame sports teams, the New York Yankees and his special loving pet "Frankie" Joseph is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ellen (Malatesta); son Dale Elbeuf; daughter Dawn Cerana (Randy); daughter Gwen Hagenbarth (Chet); Sister Marion D'Augustine; brother-in-law John Malatesta; grandchildren, Kyle Cerana, Joseph Elbeuf, Kristin Hagenbarth, Colin Hagenbarth, Kerry Cerana, Lauren Elbeuf and daughter in law, Tricia Elbeuf. Joe is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Gale Elbeuf, father Peter F. Elbeuf, mother Rose (Tronco) Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday evening, December 27, from 6pm to 9pm and Wednesday morning, December 28, from 9am to 10:15am at Rone Funeral Service. 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
