Obituary of Mary-Lou Scarani

Mary-Lou Scarani was born 1928 , Keyport, NJ. She graduated from Northfield-Mt. Hermon High School and Edgewood Park College where she studied cultural and practical arts. Her creativity was expressed in painting, writing and designing; she was a feature writer and reporter for both the Atlantic City Press and the Brigantine Weekly News, and she designed homes. Her other passion was Real Estate; she worked as a licensed associate broker alongside her husband, Charles. Mary-Lou volunteered her time generously and was politically and community oriented. She was an active member of the Democratic Club of Vineland, a delegate to Democratic National Convention from New Jersey, a member of the Cumberland Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce and the Vineland Rotary Club. She did fundraising for the Cancer, Heart, MS, House of Charity and Muscular Dystrophy societies. Mary-Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Scarani of Vineland and her daughter, Kathleen Wilkin Tatu, and her step-son, Lloyd Scarani (husband of Caroline and father of Michele Scarani). She is survived by her children Christopher Catalano and his wife, Teri, Karen and her husband Martin Birmingham and her son Steven Debow Catalano and her grandchildren Michael J, Catalano, Stephanie D. Catalano and Steven D. Catalano. She is also survived by her children, Peter Wilkin, Stella Traiman, and Lois Green. She is also survived by her sister Betsy Rogge (John), and many nieces and Nephews.
