Obituary of Patricia Agnes Loughran

Patricia Agnes Loughran, age 75, died peacefully on July 29, 2016 at Jefferson Neurosciencecenter. Pat was born on March 16, 1941, in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, daughter of Bernard F. O'Brien and Agnes McDonnell O'Brien. Pat attended St. Mary's High School in Wilkes Barre and was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, Pat was the head of the recovery room at Abington Hospital. She spent her last few years before retiring as a head nurse for the Cape May County American Red Cross. After her retirement, Pat spent her days caring for her grandchildren who she loved and adored. Pat spent her life serving the Lord. She was a member of the board of In His Sign Catholic Radio. Pat served at the intercessory ministry of the Discipleship of the Perfect Love of the Father, and spearheaded the hospitality services at the Marian Center for Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Newfield, NJ. She was a chairperson of the Steering Committee for the Camden Diocese Charismatic Renewal. She worked with the renewal in the tri state area for 40 years. Pat is survived by her daughter, Tricia Eakins, her son-in-law Steve Eakins, her grandchildren, Katie, Mary and Jimmy Eakins, her siblings John (Gail) O'Brien, Molly (Tom) Rutt, Eileen (Jim) Halling, Dan (Jane) O'Brien, Bernie (Mollie) O'Brien, Joan (Bill) Hilburt, Kevin (Janet) O'Brien, Michael (Kim) O'Brien, and Angel (Greg) Wolf. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive her. Pat was pre-ceded in death by her husband of 37 years, James W. Loughran. Pat is survived by her sister-in-law Ann (Ed) Loughran Hearn. Church visitations will be held at St. Michael's Church, 504 West Avenue, Minotola, NJ 08341, on Tuesday, August 2nd from 6PM - 8PM; and again on Wednesday, August 3rd from 9:45-10:45AM followed by the mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM.Final disposition will be private at the convenience of the family.
