Obituary of Carmen F Barcelo

Carmen Fuentes Barcelo, 97, of Cherry Hill, NJ and formerly of Vineland, NJ, passed away on January 7, 2015 at The Cadbury Retirement Community in Cherry Hill. Carmen was born in Philadelphia in 1917 to the late Manuel and Carmen Fuentes Vazquez. Carmen graduated from high school in Philadelphia and attended Strayer Business College. She was a bilingual administrative assistant and translator for McGraw-Hill in Philadelphia for many years. Carmen was the owner of American Tourist Travel and later was a travel agent with Fantasy Travel. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, sewing and listening to music. She loved animals and was a breeder of cocker spaniels. As a world traveler, she shared her incredible experiences and knowledge with everyone. Carmen served as a past president of Aspen Greene Homeowners Association. She was the beloved wife of the late James Barcelo and the loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Home Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 10am to11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Walnut Street, Williamstown, NJ. Donations in memory of Carmen may be made to: American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
