Obituary of Edwin Giovinazzi

Edwin Giovinazzi, 87, passed away peacefully on December 12 while at home. Ed was born and raised on Wheat Road and was a lifelong Vineland resident. He served his country during WW II, enlisting in the Navy and serving aboard LST 920 in the Pacific theater. He married his wife, Anita Cardarel, in 1948 and had one son, Brian. Ed will be most remembered as the impeccably dressed manager of Crosby Jewelers, at 6th and Landis in Vineland, for 43 years. Hidden behind his quiet demeanor and tall frame was a true gentleman who loved his family and friends. After retirement, Ed enjoyed playing golf with his longtime, close friends always trying to improve his game. He is survived by his son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Carol, one grandson, Brian Christopher, who he cherished, his sister Eleanor Monfardini, sister-in-law, Dolores Cardarel, niece Linda Provenzano (John), and three nephews, Anthony Cardarel, and Michael and John Monfardini. He is predeceased by his wife, Anita, brother, Arthur, and sister, Constance.
