Obituary of Robert W Bond

Robert "Bob" Bond, 93, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Vineland, New Jersey on July 19, 2014. Robert served in the United States Navy during and after World War II. The pride of his naval career was being a plank owner of the USS Huntington. After his service to our country, Robert returned to his hometown of Vineland, NJ to pursue a career as an educator. Robert earned his bachelor's degree from Glassboro State University and later his master's degree from Temple University. Robert taught at several schools in the Vineland School district, a career that spanned over twenty-five years. Robert was an avid bell collector and during Christmas he enjoyed sharing his bell collection with local elementary school students. Robert also enjoyed rooting for his favorite teams: The Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. Robert was an excellent pool player. He practiced his skills at both the West Vineland Social Club (where he served as president) and the North Italy Club (where he earned a lifetime membership). Funeral Services will be private.
