Michael Stephen Melnyk, 56, of Vineland, passed away Friday April 6, 2018 in Cooper University Hospital after a courageous, brief battle with leukemia. He was born in Vineland to the late Stephen and Helen (Chalow) Melnyk and was a lifelong resident. He then went on to work for the last 6 years for the good folks at Buona Vita Inc. of Bridgeton as a machine mechanic. As hobbies Mike enjoyed woodworking, bike riding and anything outdoors, including his "nature walks". He was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams especially the Eagles who he had the chance to watch win their first Super Bowl this year. However his greatest joy came for spending time with his family and friends.
