Biography

Anne 'Nancy' Kreck Anne Elizabeth Kreck nee Bower, age 71, passed away suddenly at home, Sunday January 15, 2012. Nancy was born April 5, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Francis and Anne Bower. She has lived in Vineland for the past 45 years with her beloved husband, Tom. Nancy graduated from Girls High, Philadelphia in 1958. Nancy postponed her education to begin her family; and after having five children, she returned to graduate from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in May 1977. For a period of four years, Nancy commuted daily to Philadelphia from Vineland to earn her degree all the while caring for her growing family of seven. Education continued to be a keystone of the family and Nancy's life as all five children graduated college, some achieving post-graduate degrees and professional licenses in medicine, engineering, sciences, and education. Dedicated to the health of her patients and residents throughout her 33 year career as a pharmacist, she retired from Omnicare after a 26 year service at the Vineland Developmental Center. Many remember Nancy from her tenure at the Eckerd's Drugs at Lincoln and Dante Aves in Vineland. Nancy enjoyed annual family reunions in Ocean City, was an avid reader, loved her various pets, and enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. In life, Nancy was a devoted wife, loving and supportive mother, doting grandmother, dedicated sister, and faithful friend. Nancy is survived by her husband: Tom; Sister: Mary Faith Delaney; Daughter: Karen Anne; Sons: Thomas, Michael [Kathryn], Stephen [Erin], and Andrew [Karen]; Ten grandchildren: Stephen, Daniel, Nicholas, Charles, Allison, Meredith, Jessica, Lea, Matthew, and James; and many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
