Biography
Anthony "Junior" Leonardo Jr., 81, died peacefully at home on January 13, 2012. A lifelong resident of Vineland, he graduated from Vineland High School in 1948, where he played football, basketball and starred at baseball. He served as a member of the U.S. Air Force for four years. Prior to his retirement, Junior worked for Minot Food Packers as a plant manager for over 30 years. Junior loved playing golf with his buddies, being with his grandchildren, traveling, cooking for his friends, watching sports and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elinor (Trucano) Leonardo, Vineland; three sons & daughter-in-laws, Michael & Maria Leonardo, Paul & Shirley Leonardo, and Jeff & Caroline Leonardo; brother & sister-in-law, Joseph & Annie Leonardo; sister & brother-in-law, Lena & John Polizzi; brother-in-law, Donald Trucano; sister & brother-in-law, Drs. Tressa & Tom Brown; six grandchildren, John, Jena, Toni, Nick, Joe & Gabrielle; Junior is predeceased by his parents, Anthony & Theresa (Giannini) Leonardo Sr.
A Church Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30am to 11am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
