![]() Kenneth A. Pontari, Sr. 63, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 22, 2010. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late James F. and Eva (DiSciascio) Pontari. Kenneth grew up in Brigantine and attended Atlantic City High School. He was drafted by the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Kenny retired from a long and illustrious career as a produce broker for James F. Pontari & Bros. of Philadelphia. Kenny especially enjoyed buying fresh produce at the Vineland Produce Auction. He had enjoyed surfing while growing up at the Jersey shore, hunting, fishing and playing golf; but most of all Kenny loved cooking for and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Tina Marie (Crudele) Pontari, of Vineland; sons, Dominick and Vinnie Pontari, both at home; son and his wife, Kenneth A. Jr. and Kim Pontari, of Linwood, ; daughter and husband, Allison and Stephen Magnotti, of Amelia, VA; son and his wife, Tony and Christie Pontari, of Galloway ; son, John Pontari, of Norman, OK; brother and his wife, James T. and Marlene Pontari, of Northfield, ; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rick and Mary Ann Crudele, of Vineland,; and eight precious grandchildren, Alexander and George Magnotti, Morgan, McKenna, Jake, Taylor, Anthony, and Christopher Pontari. Kenneth was predeceased by his brother, Frank M. Pontari. Funeral home visitations will be held on Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Friday 9 am to 10am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday at 10:30 am from Sacred Heart Church, 1010 East Landis Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in The Cumberland County Veterans' Cemetery, Trench Road, Bridgeton, NJ .
