John D. Rich, 57, passed away suddenly after a lengthy illness on Saturday, January 23, 2010. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa to William and Blanche (Black) Rich. John was a lifelong Vineland resident and a volunteer Fire Fighter for Company No. 2. He was a Cumberland County SPCA & Animal Shelter advocate and avid NASCAR fan. John enjoyed boating; fishing and most of all loved his best friend, Judy, an SPCA rescue dog.
He is survived by his father, William "Bill" Rich and mother Blanche Rich of Vineland, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Chuck Stenberg, of Vineland; nieces, Amy and Lauren Stenberg; nephew, Army Specialist Erik Stenberg; nephew, Bill J. Rich, of Philadelphia, PA. John was predeceased by his brother Bill Rich in 2003. A funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a funeral service to be held at 11:00 am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
